Katy Perry has announced that two dates on her California Dreams summer tour will be postponed due to “an attack of food poisoning leading to severe dehydration.”
A message on the pop star’s official website reveals that the concert at Chicago, Ill.’s Allstate Center scheduled for Friday night (July 8) and the show at St. Paul, Minn.’s Xcel Energy Center on Saturday night have been bumped to Aug. 21 and Aug. 23. Jam Productions, the shows’ promoters, will honor all tickets at the rescheduled shows, and refunds will be accepted at points of purchase.

“I apologize to my fans in Chicago and the Twin Cities for not being able to perform this weekend, but I am going to return in a few weeks to give them the very best show ever!” Perry says in a statement.
Perry is the latest female music star to postpone tour dates due to an illness: Adele was forced to cancel a string of shows last month due to laryngitis, while Taylor Swift canceled a concert for the first time in her career last Saturday after coming down with bronchitis.
