Katy Perry kissed a boy. And he didn’t like it.
On Sunday’s premiere of American Idol, the vivacious pop singer stole a smooch from Benjamin Glaze, a teenage contestant from Enid, Oklahoma. Glaze, a cashier at an electronic store, admitted he’d never had a girlfriend. He’d never even had a peck on the lips.
“I’ve never been in a relationship,” said Glaze, who sang Nick Jonas‘ “Levels” for his audition in front of judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Perry, “I can’t kiss a girl without being in a relationship.”
Without any prompting, Perry enticed the youngster to come in closer, but he politely landed his smooch on her cheek. The second time, Perry made sure it landed. And the youngster landed on his butt.
It wasn’t exactly a Hollywood kiss. Glaze appeared startled from his brief, hot moment. Watch below.
Some viewers watching on felt less than amused by Perry’s advances. Others noted he appeared flustered and lost his cool after the kiss.
If a male judge kissed a girl like that, IMAGINE the rioting. Double standard against men. #AmericanIdol

Glaze wasn’t so lucky when the judges critiqued his performance. The judges passed on him and he won’t be going to Hollywood.
