Katy Perry is calling out President Trump over his “heartless response” to the wildfires fires ravaging different parts of California.
On Saturday (Nov. 10), the pop star clapped back at Trump after he tweeted that “gross mismanagement of the forests” by authorities was the reason for several deadly fires in Northern and Southern California. “Remedy now, or no more Fed payments!” Trump threatened.
Perry was quick to respond, calling out Trump for his “heartless response” to the devastating situation. “There aren’t even politics involved. Just good American families losing their homes as you tweet, evacuating into shelters,” she tweeted.
This isn’t the first time Perry has criticized President Trump. Last year, she brought a politically charged performance of “Chained to the Rhythm” to the Brit Awards, where she portrayed Trump and U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May as large skeletons pacing the stage.
This is an absolutely heartless response. There aren’t even politics involved. Just good American families losing their homes as you tweet, evacuating into shelters. https://t.co/DJ4PN26bLZ

There’s a lot of unknowns tonight… but what we do know is we are here for you and as a community we will help in any way possible. Immense gratitude to all the brave first responders out there putting their lives on the line for so many families. #CaliforniaFires
