Frank Ocean‘s mother Katonya Breaux shared a photo of her and her 18-year-old son Ryan Moore, who went by Ryan Breaux, following reports of his death.
The Thousand Oaks Police Department and Ventura County Fire Department responded to a single-vehicle collision in Thousand Oaks, Calif. around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday (Aug. 2) where the car was “engulfed in flames” upon their arrival. Two passengers, Breaux and 20-year-old Cal State Northridge student-athlete Ezekial “Zeek” Bishop, were pronounced dead at the scene by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department. The two both graduated from Oaks Christian High School in 2019.
The earliest investigation of the accident revealed the vehicle appeared to veer off the roadway and struck a tree in the center median, the force of the crash causing the car to rip in half according to ABC7’s initial report. The Ventura County Medical Examiner confirmed on Tuesday (Aug. 4) that Breaux and Bishop both died from blunt force head injuries in the collision, via the Los Angeles Times.
Ocean’s mother posted a photo of their sweet embrace on Instagram Wednesday (Aug. 5) without sharing a caption.
Many commented with their condolences, including Snoh Aalegra.
Billboard has reached out to Ocean’s rep for comment.
