Even those who aren’t up on the world of gymnastics will want to tune in for this incredible floor routine by UCLA gymnast Katelyn Ohashi, which officially reached viral status early Monday morning (Jan. 14).
Featuring an energetic compilation of R&B and pop classics, largely from the King of Pop Michael Jackson, 21-year-old Ohashi commanded the mat with expertly coordinated flips, tumble and other tricks.
Some of the most immediately recognizable songs on her background track are Earth, Wind & Fire’s classic “September,” followed by The Jackson’s “ABC” and MJ’s “Remember the Time” and “The Way You Make Me Feel.”
The UCLA junior received a perfect 10, which helped the nationally-recognized women’s gymnastics team win Saturday’s (Jan. 12) Collegiate Challenge in Anaheim, Calif.
The gymnast has been reveling in the well-deserved attention her routine is receiving on social media, even tweeting, “Now I just gotta learn how to clap on the beat [laughing emoji],” on Sunday (Jan. 13).
