Kate Hudson has a new bundle of joy in her life. On Tuesday (Oct. 2), the actress welcomed daughter Rani Rose with musician Danny Fujikawa.
She took to Instagram to share the news, along with the meaning behind the baby girl’s unique name. “We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa,” she wrote. “Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honor.”
“Everyone is doing well and happy as can be. Our family thanks you for all the love and blessings that have been sent our way and we send ours right back,” she continued. Though Rani is Hudson’s first child with Fujikawa, the actress is also mother to 14-year-old Ryder Russell Robinson with then-husband Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes and 7-year-old Bingham Hawn Bellamy with Muse’s Matt Bellamy.
