Kaskade may be one of the most successful DJs on the planet, with multiple Grammy nods, sold-out arena shows and No. 1 albums on Billboard’s dance electronic charts, but that doesn’t mean he can’t also have a little side gig. Today, the Los Angeles-based DJ is delivering pizzas.
As part of a joint promotion with UberEATS, Kaskade, 45, will personally deliver pizza pies along with pairs of tickets to his sold-out May 7 L.A. Convention show. L.A. fans who download the transport company’s new food app, order between 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. today (March 15) and select the free “UberEATS + Kaskade” option, will have the opportunity to have the DJ/producer come to their doorstep. New UberEATS fans can also receive $15 off their first order by entering the code KASKADE.
The promotion isn’t Uber’s first foray into music promotion. Last July Kygo teamed-up with the transportation company to debut his single, “Nothing Left” ft. Will Heard and give fans the opportunity to his secret performance at Chicago’s Emporium Arcade Bar.
Kaskade (born Ryan Raddon) is a three-time Grammy nominee and last year signed to Warner Bros. Records after releasing albums on independents like Om Records and Ultra. He’s had two No. 1s on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart with 2013’s Atmosphere and 2011’s Fire & Ice as well as landed six tracks on Billbaoad’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. His most recent video for his new single “Us” from his new Automatic album was filmed entirely in the Philippines.
Kaskade’s L.A. Convention Center show is booked by Electric Daisy Carnival promoter Insomniac and Exchange LA and follows sets at the Air + Style action sports event in L.A. and a Coachella last year. This weekend he will play Miami’s Ultra Music Festival followed by a slew of summer tour dates which include stops at Lollapalooza in Chile and Argentina, EDC in NYC and a summer residency in Las Vegas.
