
Public Relations executive Karen Wiessen has joined the senior team at The Door and will help develop the company’s music and entertainment division.
Wiessen for the past 12 years has worked at both the Island Def Jam Group and Shore Fire Media. She has been the publicist for hugely successful artists like Lionel Richie, Fall Out Boy, PJ Harvey, Sum 41 and more and brings to The Door’s roster, Train, Putumayo World Music, Shaggy and Patrick Stump.
The Door, founded in 2007 by Lois Najarian O’Neill and Charlie Dougiello, also works with music clients like Michael Jackson, Alicia Keys, Il Divo, Natasha Bedingfield, Sean Kingston, and J. Roddy Walston and the Business and is also home to stars and food personalities like Rachael Ray, Iron Chef Marc Forgione, Chef John Besh, Anne Burrell, Spike Mendelsohn, Marcela Valladolid and more.
