That is going to be one epically cool child.
Last night, Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O, 36, revealed wordlessly that she is pregnant with her first child when she walked the red carpet of the 30th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Show in Cleveland, Ohio, her rounder belly on full display beneath a studded leather jacket. As Us Weekly reports, she performed later with her bandmate Nick Zinner in honor of the late Lou Reed, who was inducted into the Hall by his stalwart New York pal Patti Smith. (O posted a fond Instagram about their bond two weeks ago.)

This will be the first child for O (real name: Karen Orzolek) and her husband of nearly four years, director Barnaby Clay. He previously shot the emotive music video for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ hit “Zero” (from their 2009 album It’s Blitz!) and has also worked with Gnarls Barkley and Depeche Mode.
The baby news sets up 2015 to be a happy year for O, and here we thought 2014 was the one to beat. That winter, she performed her Academy Award-nominated “Moon Song” at the glitzy ceremony with Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend, an evening she affectionately called “prom night.” A few months later, she released her charming debut solo album, Crush Songs.
