When Swift won the award for Best Female Video for “Bad Blood” at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards Aug. 30, West decided to play a joke on the singer by pretending to fall asleep during her acceptance speech. Ironically, Beyonce was up for the same award, but West refrained from interrupting this time (although he did pretend to rush the stage initially).
Swift pulled a fast one on West herself as she presented him with the Video Vanguard Award. Referencing his 2009 rant, she introduced the rapper by saying, “So I guess I have to say to all the other winners tonight, I’m really happy for you, and Imma let you finish, but Kanye West has had one of the greatest careers of all time!”
