While Mos spit a typical freestyle, Kanye went off on a much longer rant, expressing his still-standing anger towards the media. “Every day of my life, people try to tell me that I hate the Whites, because I say what’s right/ I go to sleep and deal with it every night,” rapped Kanye West. “Black people wanna talk about me on blogs because I like clothes, like ‘look at this bag,’/ it’s what I have to deal with, real shit, y’all don’t even understand what it takes to be a real man/ a Black man interested in art, speaking from the heart and playing my part/ and all this illuminati talk, like my first single wasn’t ‘Jesus Walks.'”
‘Ye and Mos Def’s impromptu performances were received with applauses and shouts from the impressed crowd.
