Kanye West released his new single “Lift Yourself” on Friday (April 27), and the lyrics are, for lack of a better word…unexpected.
The end of the song features Ye’s fire verse of “whoopdedy-scoop. whoopdedy-whoop-scoop-poop,” which caused quite a bit of head-scratching (and laughing) among listeners. The song as a whole, though, is actually very well produced and had a great beat leading up to the questionable lyrics–thus leading to even more evidence that Ye is just trolling his fans.
Ebro of Hot 97 responded to the song, which Kanye tweeted would “bring Ebro the closure he’s been seeking.” The teaser was in reference to the radio host & West’s conversation about Donald Trump and the spree of pro-Trump tweets by West that followed.
I’m going to drop a song with a verse that will bring Ebro the closure he’s been seeking
