Kanye West‘s “All of the Lights” has been pumped with soul by trap upstart Alexander Lewis and wonderfully skilled trumpeters and Billboard Dance Artists to Watch Brasstracks, and it’s premiering exclusively below.
The 2010 hit record receives a brass overhaul from the two acts, the latter of whom has worked with the likes of Khalid, Anderson .Paak and Chance the Rapper on his Grammy-winning single “No Problem.”
“I felt like ‘All of the Lights’ was perfect for a brass cover,” Lewis says. “One day, I had a couple hours to spare so I recorded that main motif idea and did some production/structure to begin the tune, sent it to Ivan [of Brasstracks] and asked him if he was down. He literally sent me the trumpets the next day.”
