Korean boy band Cross Gene released a music video for their song “Fly” on Tuesday (May 15).
Their second single off of new album Zero, “Fly” is an upbeat, breezy track fit for the summer. It was preceded by the single “Touch It,” which was released last week.
The music video for “Fly” features Instagram-esque colored filters to add a soft tone to playful scenes that feature the members hanging around together and dancing along to the pounding beat of the chorus. Living up to its name, the video ends with the five members jumping, or flying, high in the air, spliced with shots of them igniting the night with bright sparklers.
Cross Gene’s fifth EP Zero was released on May 8. Throughout its four tracks, the album leans heavily on tropical beats as it liberally explores electro-pop and pop-rock. Along with the singles, the sonorous “Dystopia,” and the funky “Believe Me,” it also features instrumental versions of “Touch” and “Fly.”
A Korean-Japanese group, Cross Gene last appeared on the Japan Hot 100 in 2015 with the song “Love & Peace,” which ranked No. 21.
