Justin Timberlake has taken a cold shower, for a good cause.
The pop superstar honored his nomination to complete the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, which he did for the cameras and shared on his social networks.
Timberlake was challenged to do the deed within 24 hours, or donate at least $100 to the ALS Foundation, which raises awareness for Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease in which the muscle tissue degenerates. “We did both…and then we donated a bunch more. It’s such a good cause,” says Timberlake.

In a clip posted on his Instagram page, Timberlake tells the camera. “I am accepting the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge,” before drenching himself alongside his ever-enthusiastic entourage, the Tennessee Kids. Much shouting and hollering ensues.
To keep the ball rolling, Timberlake has nominated Jimmy Fallon, Steve Higgins and The Roots to do the same. “You have 24 hours to respond,” he warns. Lance Bass, Elizabeth Banks and Martha Stewart are among the celebrities to have already accepted “the challenge.”
