Justin Timberlake took to Twitter on Monday afternoon (June 20) to mourn the sudden death of his Alpha Dog co-star Anton Yelchin, who was killed over the weekend in a freak car accident at age 27.
Yelchin was found dead early Sunday morning, pinned between his SUV and a brick mailbox in an apparent car accident.

Timberlake and Yelchin worked together on the 2006 film Alpha Dog, in which the singer/actor played Frankie “Nuts” Ballenbacher, the best friend of lead character Johnny Truelove (Emile Hirsch), who befriends Yelchin’s character Zack Markowitz after kidnapping him over a drug debt.
Timberlake tweeted this about his co-star and friend:
Anton Yelchin.
Genius actor. Amazing human being. Gone WAY too soon.
May he rest in peace.
