At least one of Justin Bieber’s legal woes may soon be cleaned up. According to TMZ, talks between the singer’s lawyer and the L.A. County district attorney’s office are underway in order to strike a deal over allegations Bieber egged his neighbor’s house, causing thousands of dollars in damage.

The D.A. has reportedly contacted Howard Weitzman, Bieber’s attorney, to set up a meeting in the coming week. TMZ sources say the plan would have Bieber pay the damages and plead no contest to misdemeanor vandalism in the case, with no jail time and only informal probation.
The 20-year-old superstar allegedly egged an adjacent house Jan. 9 in his gated neighborhood outside Los Angeles. The neighbor and his daughter videotaped the incident from a balcony. “You’re a big f—ing man, aren’t you?” a man can be heard shouting in the grainy cell phone video.
The squabble was serious enough for the L.A. County Sheriff’s department to raid Bieber’s house days later in a search for evidence in the case. “Mr. Bieber was present and cooperative,” a detective said. While at the star’s home, police found an unspecified amount of cocaine and arrested rapper Lil Za for felony drug possession.
According to reports, the Sherrif’s Dept. wants Bieber charged with a felony, but the D.A. believes a misdemeanor is more appropriate in the case.
