Now that Mayor Rob Ford has decided to take a breather from his duties in Toronto, new details are beginning to emerge about the recent benders, crack smoke-outs and celebrity humiliations that (one can only hope) inspired the move.
One of those ego-crushing moments reportedly came from another homegrown party animal, Ontario’s own Justin Bieber.

Ford announced on Wednesday night that he’s taking a leave from his job and from campaigning for re-election to “seek immediate help” for an alcohol problem. The Globe and Mail reportedly has new video of Ford smoking crack, and the Toronto Sun posted audio recorded this week of the oft-drunk mayor talking lewdly about local female politicians.
The Star is reporting that Ford had a run-in with Bieber during a particularly debauched night of partying over St. Patrick’s Day weekend. According to the newspaper, Ford and several new acquaintances went to Muzik nightclub on March 15 where he ran into the pop star.
“Ford tried to shake Bieber’s hand and became enraged when Bieber jokingly asked him, ‘Did you bring any crack to smoke?'” the Star claims, citing an eyewitness.
Rebuffed by the “Boyfriend” singer, the mayor then “blustered back to his private booth” and continued drinking until 5 a.m. the next morning. The Star also reports that witnesses saw Ford doing lines of cocaine at the same club on April 5.
Bieber has not commented on the alleged exchange. His uncle Rob tells Star reporter Jennifer Pagliaro that articles about his family are “almost always 90% fiction.”
