Justin Bieber has traveled “All Around the World” for his music, but he’s ready to take it to the next level. The singer will travel to space with Virgin Galactic, Virgin Group founder Richard Branson announced Wednesday (June 5).
Bieber and his agent, Scooter Braun, will both be making the out-of-this-world voyage. “Great to hear @justinbieber & @scooterbraun are latest @virgingalactic future astronauts. Congrats, see you up there!” Branson tweeted.

Bieber, 19, is the latest in a line of celebrities who are planning a trip to space through Virgin Galactic’s SpaceShipTwo, which will take clients 62 miles above Earth in a six-passenger space shuttle.
At the Cannes Film Festival’s amfAR Cinema Against AIDS charity dinner, one lucky bidder paid 1.2 million euros ($1.5 million) for a trip to space seated next to Leonardo DiCaprio. Other celebrities who have reportedly put down deposits include Ashton Kutcher and Tom Hanks.
Commercial trips to space aboard SpaceShipTwo have yet to commence, but a test run in April in California was successful, and broke the speed of sound. A ticket for the suborbital spaceship costs about $250,000.
Until it’s time for his trip to the stars, Bieber will keep busy with his music, resuming the “Believe” tour in San Diego in June, and working on his next album. He recently revealed on Twitter that his next single will be titled “Heartbreaker.”
