Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez: The Way They Were
Sept. 11
After weeks of back and forth with their confused and wondering fans, in a deposition, Justin Bieber refers to Selena Gomez as his girlfriend. Case closed! (Maybe?)
Sept. 18
They’re cooking together! A sure sign that everything is rosy and wonderful. Cue “One Love.”
Sept. 25
Justin Bieber posts sweet photos of Gomez while on vacation togehter. All is seemingly well in paradise.
Sept. 30
Following a vacation in St. Maarten [“All Around The World”], the couple fight at the airport before their flight to Paris. Anonymous sources (that almost certainly are just wildly speculating) say that the fight regarded the fact that Gomez thought they were going to get engaged on this trip, and Bieber didn’t propose.:(
Oct. 1
While both Gomez and Bieber were in Paris for Fashion week, Gomez was reportedly upset when Bieber had dinner solo with Kendall Jenner. Bieber appears to punch a paparrazo; Gomez leaves Paris early.
Oct. 2
Gomez took to Twitter to let out some feelings. “Sometimes we think we aren’t good enough. But then I realize when I think I’m alone I have God,” she tweeted. She also uploaded a pic to her Instagram account documenting a trip to her grandparents’ house. “Papa has ears that truly listen (sometimes), arms that always hold and love that’s never ending,” she captioned the picture. Gomez unfollows Bieber on Instagram.
Oct. 4
Things just got interesting. The Biebs’ mom, Patti Mallette, tweeted: “I know you love him. I know you need love. But… #DontBeAHomeWrecker.” A message many Jelena fans interpreted to be a message to Jenner.
Oct. 5
Bieber posted a cute (likely old) photo of himself with Gomez kissing his arm. He subsequently deleted the photo. This has become one of his go-to moves over the years when attempting to remind Gomez how cute he is. Sometimes it works! Stay tuned.
In the meantime, this video is over a year old, but perhaps Gomez should give it another look.
