Although Justin Bieber is still in hot water from his drag racing arrest in Miami Beach yesterday, a key component of the charges is now in doubt. According to TMZ, Bieber’s blood alcohol level was an insignificant .014 at the time of arrest, nowhere near the legal limit of .08.

More on Bieber’s arrest:
This discrepancy would disprove the original police report, which insinuated that Bieber was quite drunk upon being pulled over for drag racing. “The officer immediately smelled an odor of alcohol emanating from the driver’s breath and bloodshot eyes. The driver had slow deliberate movements and a stupor look on his face.”
The original report also said Bieber failed a sobriety test and continued to appear drunk at the holding facility.
Regarding the Miami Police Department, a law enforcement source confided in TMZ, “That police force has had a zillion problems.”
Bieber was arrested early Thursday on suspicion of DUI after drag racing, according to police. Aside from the DUI charges, Bieber also faces the repercussions of resisting arrest and driving with an expired license. He was released yesterday on $2,500 bail.
In other news, manager Scooter Braun finally broke the silence coming from Bieber’s camp by tweeting this in the wee hours of Friday morning:
Been a long day. Bottom line is we are defined by how we handle adversity. Be there when it counts. Love fully in good times and bad.
