Along with taking the stage to perform “Boyfriend,” Bieber accepted the Top Social Artist trophy at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards, held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. “The Internet is where I got my start, and all my fans have helped me get to this position,” Bieber told the social award.
