BTS’ youngest member Jungkook shared not one but two versions of his latest cover, a remake of IU’s 2017 single “Ending Scene.”
Uploaded to the group’s joint SoundCloud account and shared through their blog today (Jan. 23), Jungkook shared two mellow covers. On each version, he displays a different vocal arrangement of the poignant ballad.
The covers were arranged by Jungkook, who is accompanied by Mikyeong of MKS on piano. They were mixed and mastered by longtime BTS collaborator Pdogg.
The two versions of the song were shared alongside pictures of the BTS member looking out at Newark’s Prudential Center in New Jersey.
IU’s “Ending Scene” was released on the popular Korean soloist’s 2017 album, Palette, and was composed by Sam Kim. In the past, Jungkook has said that the first-ever album he bought was by her.
Jungkook has regularly shared covers of songs with fans on YouTube and SoundCloud, and last year saw him and Roy Kim cover one another.
