It’s been more than a year and a half since JOYRYDE blessed his passengers with the dark funk of “I Ware House,” but fans have never stopped screaming for more grimy grooves. He breaks his silence today (Oct. 19) alongside Skrillex, another rare bird on the original single scene, and holy rump-shaker, Batman, was this jam worth the wait.
“Agen Wida” is some special kind of gnarly. It opens with a solid, danceable beat, ramps fast with tribal hand drums and wild monkey caws, sinks its teeth with undeniable funk only to blow your mind with absolutely untamed beat bangs by 1:17. You need the breather at the halfway mark just to fully process what just happened, and then they hit you “agen wida” (!) whole mess.
