Trick birthday candles just got one-upped.
Enterprising California brothers Nick and Travis Peterson decided to put a new spin on birthday-specific events that don’t end when they are supposed to with their new invention, the “Joker Birthday Card.” It’s a card that plays music when you open it — except it never stops.
Birthday celebrants who receive this “gift” can expect to hear an annoying song, like the one below, on loop until the card’s battery dies or it’s broken.
Breaking the card is not as simple as you might think, however, as it is apparently waterproof:
The brothers have already raised more than four times their initial goal of $7,500 on Kickstarter — so stand forewarned that any seemingly innocent birthday greetings you receive might actually contain a song that never ends.
