John Mayer is back. Just weeks out from the start of his summer tour Down Under, the American guitar hero dropped “I Guess I Just Feel Like” at the stroke of midnight.
A chilled song with a dreamy chorus and an understated guitar solo, Mayer first sprung “Guess” on fans during a performance at iHeartRadio LIVE in October 2018.
On it, he sings, “I guess I just feel like/Nobody’s honest/Nobody’s true/Everyone’s lying/To make it on through/I guess I just feel like/I’m the same way too.”
Mayer’s seventh and most recent album, The Search For Everything dropped in 2017 and peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. With Search, Mayer became the first artist to lead Billboard’s Top Rock Albums chart on three occasions in a single year.
The eight-time Grammy winner’s tour kicks off March 23 at Spark Arena in Auckland, New Zealand. Stream the new song below.
