Boy Meets World star Danielle Fishel married Jensen Karp this past weekend (Nov. 4) and was lucky enough to have a special performer at her reception. John Mayer, a longtime friend and a groomsman at their wedding, sang a cover of Beyoncé‘s “XO” for the couple’s first dance together.

Fishel noted that “XO” is one of the couple’s favorite songs and that Mayer had performed it for them previously.

Fishel took to Instagram to post a snippet of this cover as well as some video footage from the wedding. She was so grateful for Mayer’s performance, writing, “His immense talent is only overshadowed by his humor, his heart, his sincerity, his loyalty, his candor, and his generous spirit.”

Jensen brought many new and wonderful friends into my life and the friendship of @johnmayer is at the top of the list. His immense talent is only overshadowed by his humor, his heart, his sincerity, his loyalty, his candor, and his generous spirit.
