There was a flurry of turns — and some unusual tactics from one coach — when R&B singer Khalea Lynee stepped up to the The Voice stage Tuesday night
Hailing from Florida, the talented mom auditioned with “Best Part” by Daniel Caesar. And she seriously won over the pros, earning a four-chair turn.
“Your tone is so beautiful,” John Legend remarked. “Every choice you made was spot on. You just mesmerized all four of us and this entire audience. You have so much passion but you also have discipline.”
The fight was on. Everyone pitched their team, and Legend tried his secret recipe; he enticed her with an Anita Baker song. “I’m going to give you the best that I’ve got, Khalea,” he crooned.
Of course, Team Legend won.
