John Legend charmed with a medley of “All of Me” and “You & I (Nobody In the World)” at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards tonight (May 18) live from Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Donning a dapper suit (as always), the singer-songwriter took the stage behind the keys for a heartfelt rendition of the “Love In the Future” singles.
Similar to “All of Me,” Legend’s fourth single, “You & I,” is about his wife, model Chrissy Teigen, who introduced the singer.

“When I wrote this song I was thinking about when Chrissy and I go out on date night, and sometimes there is all this pressure to look so good. Everybody is going to see you,” he said earlier this week at an intimate show Los Angeles’ The Emerson Theatre courtesy of Citi. “But this song is just letting her know that even before all the make-up and all those fancy clothes she’s already perfect in my eyes.”

As he performed “You & I” at the Billboard Music Awards, Legend locked eyes with his wife who was singing to every word.
“All of Me” has held down the No. 1 slot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the past two weeks. It holds steady on the Radio Songs chart for a third week and a second week on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Adult Pop Songs.
