John Legend is rallying his fans to fight Congress’ efforts to replace Obamacare following news House Republicans plan to revive their heath care bill for a vote on Thursday.
The superstar musician tweeted on Wednesday (May 3), following news of the planned American Health Care Act vote, encouraging his followers to get engaged: “Stop #Trumpcare. Save Lives. Call your rep today!”
He continued, “House GOP literally voting to let people die. This sounds hyperbolic but it isn’t. Make them regret this vote.”
Legend then turned his attention to Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, accusing him of lying about the new healthcare bill constantly. He joked that Ryan would surely wait for the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office to releases a report on the expected impacts of the bill, when all signs point that he will do no such thing.

Paul Ryan lies about this bill constantly. I’m sure he’ll wait for the CBO to verify his statements before passing the bill, no? https://t.co/p7CzLNOEMM
