In the heat of Chrissy Teigen’s NSFW beef with President Trump, let’s not forget her prime target for trolling on social media: her husband John Legend. The musician joined his Voice co-star Kelly Clarkson on her new talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show on Tuesday (Sept. 10) to discuss how he feels “directly attacked” for Teigen’s comment about no one posting good photos of her.
Clarkson and Legend discussed his family’s most recent trip to Thailand with Teigen’s mother. But Teigen took to Instagram to bug her husband about lagging on his photography duties. She calls him out directly, writing, “I never have pictures of myself because I am selfless and am the designated photo taker and keeper for my family…. but it’s okay. such is the life I chose. (To john).”
Legend told Clarkson, “I felt like I was being directly attacked. I feel like I take really good pictures of her.”
I never have pictures of myself because I am selfless and am the designated photo taker and keeper for my family and no one else seems to care to be thoughtful and take good photos of me they merely click them off without paying attention to angles or lighting or general photo ambience. but it’s okay. such is the life I chose. (To john)
He’s making more of an effort to “give her good lighting and give her good angles” as part of his defense, which he coined #GoodInstagramHusband. Here’s a peek at his new-and-improved portfolio of Teigen pictures.
According to their family friend and NBA superstar Dwyane Wade, “When women get married now, I think part of what they’re getting with getting a husband is getting someone to take Instagram photos of them for life,” Legend shared with the audience.
