Public Access TV frontman John Eatherly has unveiled a new music video on Wednesday (July 24) for his sophomore single, “Burnout,” starring model Kaia Gerber and actor Oli Green.
The clip shows Gerber and Green as they live through a dark suburban teen romance, featuring a particular notable scene in which the model kidnaps the actor and brings him to a backyard dinner table, where she plays with a knife and ultimately seduces him.
“‘Burnout’ has two meanings,” Eatherly explained. “One side is about the frustration of feeling like you don’t belong and how boring it can be when people all try to fit the same mold. The other side is about the romantic ‘rockstar’ fantasy of living a checked out blissful life of excess. That doesn’t tend to end well. The key is to never give a shit about anyone’s approval other than your own.”
“Burnout” will be featured on Eatherly’s upcoming debut solo EP. Watch the music video below.
