— Sony/ATV Music Publishing has signed a global publishing deal with solo artist, James Gang front man and Eagles’ guitarist Joe Walsh. While terms of the deal were not disclosed, the Walsh catalog with Sony/ATV includes “Life’s Been Good,” “Rocky Mountain Way,” “All Night Long” and “Lucky That Way,” as well as “Life In The Fast Lane” and “In The City,” which he wrote and recorded with the Eagles.
“Joe Walsh is a musical giant and we are honored that he is entrusting his incredible catalog of songs with Sony/ATV,” company chairman and CEO Martin Bandier said in a statement. “I know all our guitar-playing executives — and there are many of them — look at him as a hero, but he is not only one of the all-time great guitarists but a terrific songwriter as well.”
Walsh’s recording career began with the James Gang, and after they broke up, he released his first three solo records with Barnstorm before joining the Eagles in 1975, while continuing to record as a solo artist. His most recent studio release was 2012’s Analog Man, which was co-produced by Jeff Lynne.
“Joe’s vast career catalog, both solo and with Barnstorm and the Eagles, have found the perfect home with Marty and Sony/ATV,” Walsh manager Irving Azoff said in a statement.

“It’s a great pleasure to be re-united with Cutfather,” Reservoir/Reverb Music managing director Annette Barrett said in a statement. “I originally signed Mich at Warner/Chappell Music in the ’90s, where he was one of their top writers. His continued success over the years is a testament to his talent and hard work… We are all looking forward to working with him and continuing his unique success story.”

— Round Hill Music has signed a worldwide co-publishing deal with Addie Hamilton, who is working on her solo debut album, after enjoying placements engineered by Round Hill on Shameless and in the upcoming Disney feature film Magic Camp, according to the announcement.
An earlier placement for Hamilton, the co-writer and performer of the song “Just Breathe,” received a 2015 Emmy nomination for best original song for daytime television.
Hamilton is “so unique an artist and her energy draws people in,” Round Hill vp A&R Patrick Conseil said in a statement. “I am very impressed by her vocals, lyrics and melodic contributions as well as her extensive knowledge of music well beyond her 21 years. The entire creative team feels very confident we can achieve great success together.”
