America’s premier narcoleptic drag queen is kicking the year off on a strong note: Jinkx Monsoon has announced that their new album, The Ginger Snapped, will be out on Jan 12.
The record is the second feature album by Jinkx and partner in crime, Major Scales. The Drag Race season 5 winner describes the album to Billboard as “a ’90s garage band throwback with drag queen style.” The Ginger Snapped features collaborations with Amanda Palmer, Lady Rizo and Fred Schneider and a track titled “Just Me (The Gender Binary Blues),” a nod to the drag queen’s gender identify (Jinkx came out as non-binary in July 2016).
