In the latest “Musical Morning Announcements” segment on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Tuesday (May 8), host Jimmy Fallon and Gabrielle Union reprised their roles as principal and VP of Saugerties High School and tackled a handful of 2018 hits with a hilarious school spirit.
“First order of beeswax,” Fallon said with a nasally undertone, “We wanna remind teachers and students that their local fire department will be stopping by in the AM.” Fallon pressed play on the boom box in front of him, and a bootleg instrumental of Portugal. The Man’s “Feel It Still” kicked off the morning. “Wee-woo that’s a sound you shouldn’t ignore,” Fallon said, “Just take the stairs and file out the backdoor.”
The absurdity continued when Union said that she would need “the following students to stop by the office.” Once again Fallon pressed play, and the duo tackled a hilarious parody of “Havana” by Camila Cabello. “Amanda ooo nah nah,” Union sang, “the lost and found has your new camera ooo nah nah.” Fallon followed Union’s lead, but hilariously cut himself short when he accidentally sang “Diana ooo nah nah, there’s some bad news about your grandma ooo nah nah.”
