Philadelphia’s own, Jill Scott, pays homage to her hometown in the visuals for her track “Shame,” off her fourth album, “The Light of the Sun.” The Devin Hampton-directed video was shot in the Cecil B. Moore Recreaton Center, where Scott spent most of her summers as a youngin.’
Scott brings out Philly friends: Black Thought (from The Roots), Meek Millz, Peedi Crakk and the track’s featured artist and “pitbull in a skirt,” Eve.
Prior to the shoot, Scott and her foundation, Blues Babe Foundation, paid for repairs on the center after hearing that the center was closing.
“When I found out it was closing, it just hurt my feelings beacuse kids like me needed a place to go,” Scott told CNN. “I put a lot of love and my heart here.”
