The Vevo dscvr 2018 Artists To Watch series is going from coast-to-coast following its debut with L.A. singer Billie Eilish as the spotlight series moves on to Atlanta rapper-vocalist J.I.D. for its second day.
The 27-year old has been making waves since his signing to J. Cole’s Dreamville label and the release of his debut album The Never Story in March via Dreamville/Interscope. The album peaked at No. 14 on the Heatseekers chart and No. 197 on the Billboard 200.
For the latest entry in the 2018 dscvr series, J.I.D. performs “General,” the appropriately-themed second track off his debut album that lyrically serves as a broad introduction to the young artist.
