Jhene Aiko, ‘Souled Out’: Track-by-Track Review
In effort to raise awareness around the unethical practices of shark finning, Aiko has stripped down to harness her inner shark for a campaign shot by celebrity photographer Nick Saglimbeni. Check out the campaign photo and a behind-the-scenes video of the shoot exclusively via Billboard below.

“Tens of millions of sharks are killed each year due to the demand of shark fin soup,” says Aiko. “These fisherman fish for sharks and they just cut off their fins and they leave them to drown and drop to the bottom of the ocean. They leave them to die.”
She concludes, “We’re getting very close to… these animals being extinct and I think that as young people we can give the sharks that voice that they need.”
