Jewel will join the fifth season of USA Network’s country talent search show, Nashville Star, as co-host. Jewel, who replaces Wynonna Judd, will share hosting duties with country artist Cowboy Troy. The show is set to return January 11.
Nashville Star’s national casting tour began August 31 in Atlanta and continued to twelve other cities: Los Angeles, Chicago, Las Vegas, New York, Dallas, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Oklahoma City, Tampa Bay, Albuquerque, Charlotte and Nashville. As in the past, the winner of this season’s search will receive a recording contract with a record label.
