When the United States Equestrian Federation announced its top 10 riders to make this summer’s Olympic team, a very famous name didn’t make the cut.
Jessica Springsteen, Bruce Springsteen‘s 24-year old daughter, will not ride in four overseas observation events in Europe before the final team is chosen for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil. Her name did not make the team’s USEF shortlist, according to its website.
Springsteen represented the United States as an alternate rider in the 2012 Summer Olympics. She was the winner of the American Gold Cup in 2014 and a featured model as Gucci’s equestrian ambassador.
Last May, the Colts Neck, N.J., resident was ranked by the British magazine SportsPro as the 47th most marketable athlete in the world.
Earlier this year, Springsteen’s parents, Bruce and Patti Scialfa, hosted a fundraiser for the team, raising $1.5 million.
