The latest viral dance challenge to hit the Internet is for a good cause.
United Cancer Front’s Dance or Donate Challenge aims to help the organization continue their mission of finding a cure for cancer via immunotherapy and targeted treatments. The rules of the challenge are that the participant needs to dance for 15 seconds or donate a minimum of $10 to UCF. Additionally, they must challenge at least three of their friends and loved ones to partake.
A number of big name celebrities have already taken part in the fun, including Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Clarkson, Thomas Rhett and many more. Clarkson, challenged by UCF’s founder and board chairperson Lilly Tartikoff, decided to be her characteristically goofy self by putting on some classic moves such as the Running Man, the Beyonce hair-flip and the sprinkler for “watering the world with her love.”
Lopez and Rhett, both challenged by Today‘s Hoda Kotb, took theirs to a grander scale. JLo put her well known choreography talents to the test as she and her dancers broke out in some wild moves in a subway station outside of Madison Square Garden. Rhett performed his challenge in front of 20,000 fans at a concert.
“Scientists that we are supporting through the Dance or Donate Challenge for the United Cancer Front have delivered targeted therapies and immunotherapy treatments that have already helped 3.5 million people challenged with cancer, the likes of which we have not seen in 60 years,” Tartikoff said in a statement. “I am so honored to help them in their mission to continue to deliver these therapies. Please, please join us in continuing to move this cancer research forward!”
