Jennifer Lopez stopped by Hot 97’s Angie Review and weighed in on the issue everyone in pop culture has been talking about — Solange’s recent bout with Jay Z in a hotel elevator in NYC.
“You can’t speculate what’s going on,” Lopez tells Hot 97’s Angie Martinez, calling upon her experience of being in the tabloid spotlight. The singer insinuates that virtually no one outside of the Met Gala’s elevator knows the full story. “What I do know about being in the public eye is that you never know the real story and you never will, unless somebody decides to share it.
Lopez admits that Jay Z and Beyoncé’s longstanding privacy “makes people crazy and want to know more.”
“If you saw a fight on the street right here, wouldn’t you want to know what happened?” Lopez jokes.
Of course, there is much more going on with JLo these days than commentary on Knowles family drama. Her new studio album, “A.K.A.” is due June 17 and she recounts her collaboration with French Montana on the new single “I Luh Ya Papi.” She also discusses her “passion project” with NUVOtv, her workout routine, coming back to the Bronx and how her kids got her to love her new Diplo collaboration “Big Booty.”
