Jennifer Lopez honored the new administration on Wednesday (Jan. 20) with a performance of several songs during the 59th Inaugural Swearing-In Ceremony.
Dressed in a classy white coat and sparkling jewelry, Lopez opened with a rendition of Woody Guthrie’s “This Land Is Your Land,” before transitioning into “America the Beautiful.”
“One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all,” Lopez then said in Spanish.
She also sang a few moments of her 2000 hit “Let’s Get Loud,” then closed with more notes of “America the Beautiful.”
Also performing at the inauguration ceremonies for President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were Lady Gaga, who sang the National Anthem, and country superstar Garth Brooks.
Inauguration festivities continue later in the day with Celebrating America, hosted by Tom Hanks. The televised event will feature Demi Lovato, Justin Timberlake, Jon Bon Jovi, Ant Clemons and others. The 90-minute show begins at 8:30 p.m. ET, and will be aired on NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN and MSNBC, as well as on Amazon Prime Video, Twitch, and Fox’s NewsNOW.
