Jay Z is the first rapper chosen to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and on the heels of the monumental announcement, the hip-hop icon turned to social media to express his gratitude.
He tweeted Wednesday (Feb. 22), encouraging his fellow rappers to celebrate this victory in the rap community.
By the way, this is a win for US. I remember when rap was said to be a fad . We are now alongside some of the greatest writers in history.
