Jason Isbell and Ryan Adams shared the love at Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival, where the rockers partnered up on separate occasions and delivered a smashing cover of the Rolling Stones’ “Sway.”
Isbell, the singer-songwriter and former Drive-By Truckers member, performed works from last year’s Something More Than Free before welcoming Adams for a closer on the Stones’ Sticky Fingers classic, with Isbell taking vocal duties and Adams playing guitar.

Later, the favor was returned when Isbell guested for Adams’ set, joining the artist for a rendition of Heartbreaker ballad “Oh My Sweet Carolina,” a song they’ve collaborated on in the past.
More than 210,000 festival-goers gathered at Golden Gate Park for this year’s Outside Lands. This year’s lineup included headline acts LCD Soundsystem, J. Cole, Lana Del Rey and Radiohead.
