Following her successful first concert in Taipei last December, J-pop singer LiSA returned to Taiwan to promote her greatest-hits album and upcoming show at the Xinzhuang Gymnasium on Aug. 18.
Many fans greeted the popular anime and game-song vocalist when she arrived at Taipei Songshan Airport on Sunday (May 20). She appeared as a guest at an event at the PetitFancy pop culture convention to discuss her new greatest-hits album and her scheduled solo-headlining Taipei concert in August.
Toward the end of the session, LiSA invited the members of her cover band, who had appeared at the same event, onstage and performed the Chinese version of her hit song “Catch the Moment” with them, to the surprise and delight of the approximately 2,000 fans who had gathered to see her that day.
Tickets to the Xinzhuang Gymnasium concert went on sale Sunday, and the 5,000 seats sold out on the same day, displaying LiSA’s growing popularity outside of Japan.
