
Japanese artist Haru Nemuri announced she will be performing at the South by Southwest music festival in March 2020.
The singer-songwriter, “poetry rapper” and music producer had told fans on social media that she applied for entry in the annual event, and followed up with the news that she has now officially been invited to perform.
Haru Nemuri’s latest album, Haru to Shura, has been streamed over 3.9 million times on Spotify, and the online music database Rate Your Music ranked it among the top 31 albums released in 2018 worldwide.
The 24-year-old indie artist has already performed outside of her home country in European and Asian music festivals numerous times in the past. This year, she appeared in Primavera Sound 2019, a music festival in Barcelona, Spain, that draws over 200,000 in attendance.
