Japan’s rising hitmakers AmPm will be performing at Ultra Music Festival in Miami this weekend (March 23-25). The masked creative unit debuted in March 2017 with the chill electro-pop “Best Part of Us” on Spotify that reached 9 million streams by December.
The Ultra Miami stage will be the duo’s first live performance in the U.S., following their first-ever performance in 2017 at Spotify On Stage in Indonesia. They will be joining a star-studded lineup at Ultra Miami’s 20th anniversary celebration this year.
In February, AmPm released a remix of Afrojack’s ”LOST feat. Oliver Rosa” and recently released a remix of “HOLD ME” by the Dutch DJ R3HAB. The duo commented in a press release that working with such world-renowned music producers calls for quick decision-making.
“They create and make decisions with tremendous speed. We keenly felt that overwhelming speed is necessary in order to succeed internationally,” they wrote. “We’ll start off by enjoying and putting on a great performance at Ultra Music Festival 2018 and apply that experience to our future endeavors.”
After their Miami set, AmPm — pronounced “am-pam” — will hit New York City on Tuesday (March 27) for a solo headlining show and return to Japan for their first domestic performances, opening for Galantis on April 7 and Jonas Blue on April 28.
