
Yasutaka Nakata — the Japanese DJ and record producer responsible for the massive successes of the girl group <a href=”/music/Perfume”>Perfume</a> and kawaii singer <a href=”/music/Kyary-Pamyu-Pamyu”>Kyary Pamyu Pamyu</a> — announced the release of his first solo album, Digital Native, on Feb. 7, 2018.
The album will contain 10 tracks including “NANIMONO” featuring <a href=”/music/Kenshi-Yonezu”>Kenshi Yonezu</a> (ranked No. 1 on Spotify’s 2016 list of most-played Japanese song in Japan, video viewed over 16 million times on YouTube), “Crazy Crazy” featuring <a href=”/music/Charli-XCX”>Charli XCX</a> and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu (Top 20 on Spotify UK’s viral chart), and “Love Don’t Lie” featuring ROSII, the first official anthem for the Ultra Music Festival written by a Japanese artist.
The first edition of the album will also contain a second disc that features seven remixes of songs by other artists including <a href=”/music/Zedd”>Zedd</a> and <a href=”/music/Alessia-Cara”>Alessia Cara</a>’s “Stay,” and <a href=”/music/Steve-Aoki”>Steve Aoki</a> and Moxie‘s “I Love It When You Cry (Moxoki).”
