The three-member Japanese rock band BRADIO will perform outside of its home country for the first time at A-Kon 29 anime convention in Fort Worth, Texas.
BRADIO is a rising funk rock band that released its first mini-album, Diamond Pops, in 2013 and first album, Power of Life, in 2015. Last year, the band released its second album, Freedom, and played close to 100 live shows in Japan, including major festivals and solo headliners.
Power of Life includes the single “Flyers,” which was used as the opening theme of the popular anime series Death Parade and made the band famous in anime circles. The music video for the track has been played close to 9 million times on YouTube, and the band’s music on Spotify is streamed more in the U.S. than in Japan.
A-Kon, which began in 1990, is the longest-running and third-largest anime convention in North America. The convention held annually in Fort Worth will run June 7-10 at the Fort Worth Convention Center. The date and time of BRADIO’s performance will be announced later.
